Home of turrets and towers, bay windows, porches, and intricate detailing, Franklin suffered a devastating fire in 1924 which destroyed the business district, but did not touch many of the elegant homes. As a result, 10 ornately detailed homes still stand proudly near north Main Street, with another five located at what would have been the other end of the business district. Enjoy a pleasant meander through tree-lined streets.
