As one would imagine, scenic drives in the mountains of West Virginia can be spectacular.  No need to wait for fall foliage, these drives are incredible any time of the year.  The Heart of West Virginia is laced with two National Scenic Byways, one West Virginia Byway and five West Virginia Backways, scenic roads that are out in the “back of the beyond.”  Plan to enjoy at least one scenic byway each time you visit the Heart of West Virginia.
