AUGUSTA HERITAGE ARTS WORKSHOPS... 
Internationally recognized workshops in music, crafts, dance, and folklore; plus concerts on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in Harper McNeeley Auditorium on Davis & Elkins College Campus and public dances every Friday night.

Ramp Festival - April 28 - 29 - Ramp lovers migrate to Elkins City Park to the annual Ramp Fest to cook up dishes that only a pure ramp lover can enjoy.  Festival also features arts, crafts, food and entertainment.  Starts at traditional Ramp Dinner on Friday night, April 28 at the Elkins National Guard Armory and continues to Saturday with the Ramp Cook-Off and a full day of food and entertainment in Elkins City Park, starting at noon.  For information contact Randolph County CVB  304 636 2780  Click HERE for complete details

BATTLE OF RICH MOUNTAIN REENACTMENT

Reenactment of the July 11, 1861 Civil War Battle for control of northwestern Virginia. Two battle reenactments, extensive living history and historic activities including "sanitary fair", scripted tours, political rally, dance, church service, CW music program, chicken dinner and more. MOUNTAIN STATE FOREST FESTIVAL... 
SEPTEMBER 30 - OCTOBER 8, 2006
The largest and oldest festival in West Virginia, The Mountain State Forest Festival celebrates the beautiful autumn foliage. This festival dates back to 1930 and has hosted five presidents and many celebrities. The week-long festivities include the coronation of Queen Sylvia by the Governor, two major parades, Distinguished Guests Dinner, Grand Ole Opry, three major dances, a carnival in downtown streets, arts and crafts displays, weaving and quilt exhibits, woodchopping, archery and horsepulling contest, gospel sings and competitions, square dancing and much more.
