Randolph County Community Arts Center
Founded in 1999, the Randolph County Community Arts Center brings the arts to life in Elkins. With a mission to enhance, enrich and develop the arts and cultural life of the region, there are opportunities for self-expression and enjoyment throughout the year. An excellent example of historic building re-use, volunteers initiated the transformation of the former St. Brendan Catholic Church into a vibrant space for teaching, sharing, presenting and celebrating. Visitors now can enjoy works of art of all varieties, performances, lectures and other cultural events. The Arts Center offers art and music classes, workshops and festivals as well as a full season of performing arts concerts that include well-known musicians and performers from throughout the U.S. The Arts Center has proudly hosted two Smithsonian Traveling Exhibits and has an extensive arts education outreach program. Throughout the year, there are also free Brown Bag concerts featuring regional musicians every third Wednesday of the month beginning at noon sponsored by Davis Trust Company. Office Hourse: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Cost: Varies according to event. Exhibits in the Great Hall and Maxwell galleries have no admission fees.
