ELKINS CITY PARKS
     Elkins is fortunate to have three parks located in the city that are well worth visiting.

The Elkins City Park
     This 10-acre park is located just 1/2 block off Routes 219-250 and 33 behind The Iron Horse Statue. The City Park offers three pavilions, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, picnic tables and a playground for children.
     The park hosts the following events which are held each year: The Ramp Festival, Antique Car Show, Augusta Festival, The Mountain State Forest Festival, Pick'n in the Park and many family reunions and church picnics.

River Bend Park
     Located in the Elkins Industrial Park. It is equipped with a pavilion and picnic tables, a walking and jogging track, a playground for children, two sand volleyball courts and a soccer field. This 14-acre site has two of the finest Little League Baseball fields in the state.

Blue Grass Park
     Located on the corner of Yokum and Lough Streets, features basketball courts, a playground, a picnic pavilion and a sand volleyball court.

Robin Harvey Field
     Located next to Bluegrass Park and hosts the Elkins High School Baseball and American Legion Baseball Teams.

     Stuarts Park, part of the Monongahela National Forest, Stuart's Park offers many outdoor activities. Located just 8 miles from Elkins on Rt. 33 East, the park features outdoor activities such as camping (hook-up facilities available), hiking, backpacking, swimming, fishing and picnicking.
     The parks are open for spring, summer and fall activities and closed in winter. For more information regarding the Monongahela National Forest and Stuarts Park, call the Randolph County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 1-800-422-3304.

Kumbrabow State Forest

     If you shy away from developed areas and seek rugged, wild country, then Kumbrabow is for you. Rustic guest cabins bring all the flavor of pioneer life to the 1990s and dense forests provide a true wilderness experience. Enjoy camping, hiking, picnicking, hunting and fishing. Located on US Rt. 219 south of Elkins.

CAMPGROUNDS
     For those interested in enjoying the outdoors 24 hours a day, Randolph County offers numerous options for people wishing to camp. Whether you are pulling a trailer, plan to use a tent or prefer to backpack into the wilderness and camp under the stars, you will find the perfect place to lay your weary head.
