Celebrating the forest heritage and traditions of the early settlers to the region, the Mountain State Forest Festival is one of West Virginia’s oldest and largest.  Drawing nearly 100,000 people each year to the Heart of West Virginia. A week-long slate of festivities features three parades, a Country Music Show, Classic Rock Show, a Cabaret, a carnival in downtown streets, arts and crafts, quilts and weaving, Lumberjack contest, queen’s coronation and more. Tickets are required for some events.
