Discover the birthplace of the founder of Mother’s Day. The building was Union General McClellan’s headquarters on the Wheeling-Staunton Turnpike, considered to be the "Back Door to the South" at the beginning of the Civil War.

Directions:
Depart Elkins on US-33 [Harrison Ave] (West) for 6.5 miles
Bear RIGHT (North-West) onto US-250 [SR-92] and go 18.6 miles
Turn RIGHT (North) onto US-119 [US-250] and go approximately 10 miles and look for museum
