Take a driving tour of the region where the first land battles of the Civil War occurred in June 1861. Locations include Philippi, Corrick’s Ford, Beverly, Rich Mountain, Burnt Bridge, Huttonsville, Cheat Summit Fort, Camp Bartow, Camp Allegheny Droop Mountain, Lee’s Headquarters, Huntersville, Marlington, Camp Elkwater and Cheat Mountain Advance Camps, and more.

Directions:
Go South-West from Elkins on US-219 [S Randolph Ave] for 17.9 miles
Bear RIGHT (South) onto US-250 [SR-92] for 21.9 miles
At near Bartow, bear LEFT (East) onto Old Pike Rd [CR-3] for 7.5 miles to Top of Allegheny.
