A semi-primitive area of high elevation plateau located near Blackwater Falls State Park with approximately 13,000 acres and elevations ranging from 3,100 to 4,145 feet above sea level. Trails offer the opportunity for visitors to "walk on the wild side" provided the rhododendrons will allow it.

Directions:
Go North from Elkins on US-219 [Randolph Ave] for 34.7 miles
Turn RIGHT (South) onto SR-32 [Spruce St] for .4 miles
Keep STRAIGHT onto SR-32 for 4.9 miles
Turn left on #1 Wilderness Rd which is Canaan Loop Rd.
Route is 18 miles long
