The Cranberry Glades Botanical Area was established to protect the largest area of bogs in West Virginia. Brought here by the glaciers, the four bogs of the Glades contain life similar to the bogs or “muskegs” of the north. A half-mile boardwalk constructed through two of the bogs lets you enjoy the area without harming the fragile eco-community.

Directions:
Go South-West from Elkins on US-219 [S Randolph Ave] for 71.6 miles
Bear RIGHT (North) onto SR-39 [SR-55] for 6.4 miles
Turn RIGHT (North) onto SR-150, then immediately bear LEFT (West) onto Public Road 980 for .8 miles
Bear RIGHT (North) onto Public Road 107, look for signs and walkways.
