Constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Horseshoe is nestled in the mountains along Horseshoe Run. It serves both campers and day visitors from early May through late October.

Directions:
Go North from Elkins on US-33 [S Randolph Ave] for 1.1 miles
Turn RIGHT (North) onto US-219 [Randolph Ave] for 3.2 miles
Turn RIGHT (East) onto US-219 for 18.0 miles
Bear LEFT (North) onto SR-72 [Chestnut St] for .5 mile
Keep STRAIGHT onto SR-72 for 1.0 mile
Bear RIGHT (North-East) onto CR-1 [Holly Meadows Rd] for 5.8 miles
Turn left on State Route 7 and continue past the YMCA Camp Horseshoe to the Horseshoe Recreation Area entrance.
