The state’s highest forest between 3,000 and 3,930 feet above sea level, Kumbrabow, which gets its name from the three prominent families who owned the land, is a showcase for stands of black cherry and red spruce. The undisturbed habitats make bear, turkey, deer, grouse and bobcat sightings common to visitors throughout the year.
