Lake Buffalo, located near the town of Bartow is a 22-acre lake regularly stocked with trout by the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. Facilities include vault toilets, a parking lot and concrete boat ramp. Some dispersed camping is available in the area. Lake Buffalo also includes an accessible fishing area.

Go South-West from Elkins on US-219 [S Randolph Ave] for 12.0 miles
Turn RIGHT (West) onto US-219 [US-250] for 5.9 miles
Bear RIGHT (South) onto US-250 [SR-92] for 19.0 miles
Turn RIGHT (South) onto Local road(s) for 65 yards
Turn LEFT (East) onto CR-250 [River Rd] for .2 miles
Turn LEFT (East) onto Old Pike Rd [CR-3] for .9 miles
Road name changes to River Rd for 21 yards
