This gravel Backway follows the original alignment of the Staunton Parkersburg Turnpike from the top of Allegheny Mountain to the town of Bartow. The Confederate Civil War Camp Allegheny sits at the top of the mountain, where interpretation is provided by the Monongahela National Forest.

Directions:
Go South-West from Elkins on US-219 [S. Randolph Ave] for 17.9 miles
Bear RIGHT (South) onto US-250 [SR-92] and go 21.8 miles
At Bartow, Bear LEFT (East) onto Old Pike Rd [CR-3] for 10 miles on Camp Allegheny Backway
